Affordable Homes on the Isle of Lismore move to delivery phase

MAKAR are delighted to announce we are delivering two affordable homes to the Island of Lismore.

We’ve been working with Lismore Community Trust since January 2025, taking the project through planning, building warrant and funding, and it’s now fully funded and moving into delivery.

The project is supported by the Rural and Islands Housing Fund and the Scottish Government’s Islands Programme, and manufacturing has already started here in Inverness.

For MAKAR, this is an important milestone and a great example of what’s possible for remote and island communities.

We’re committed to working with communities, government and local authorities to help accelerate affordable housing delivery across Scotland.
